Why was it that every time someone showed an excessive amount of enthusiasm (example, Peru), Lionel would resist the urge to flinch? Although Lionel had always been with silence, and against loud beaming voices; being a good friend of Peru’s had made him almost accustomed to the girl’s enthusiasm. He would have groaned irritably too, what with the talk backs Bryce, Nikki and Susie were having, but Lionel was patient enough. Just enough. Honestly, Lionel was having a hard time already trying to keep up with the rest of the students. The trip had already proved itself to be pointless and immensely tedious.
So, lost between his thoughts and the world outside, Lionel’s mind had shifted to something a lot less boring. Hence, he began to think about things like nail cutters, bubble gum and then bed sheets. Frankly, Lionel had always thought bed sheets were fucking annoying. He would sleep on them, neatly tucked in to the sides of his bed, and then wake up the next morning to find them chaotic beneath him. What was more, the bed sheets actually felt good at night. They usually gave him a good sleep, yet a bad morning.
Lionel only merely glanced toward Bryce as he spoke, ready for a game already. He couldn’t blame him either. The bus hadn’t even started moving, and people were starting to get restless and dreary. Short-tempered and tetchy as he usually was, Lionel buried his fingers into his heavily packed bag and drew out a deck of cards. After handing them over to Bryce, Lionel slipped to a lower position on his seat, and lifted his legs and feet to set them comfortably upon the back of another person’s seat, ”I’d probably lose. I forgot how to play it, anyway.” Lionel stated, referring to Texas Hold ‘em. And then sighing in pity, Lionel added, “Just one game from me though. And then I’m sleeping.”
”Boo!”
Fuck, now what? He heard a splash, and then a feverish apology from Peru from the outside of the bus. Raising his head, Lionel only caught a glimpse of the wet and appalling state of Peru’s back. Growling under his breath, Lionel closed his eyes in frustration. As he had opened his eyes, he set his gaze upon Nikki, who now sat contently across their seat. So he spoke briefly, because of his already fuming temper, “Good job. You made this trip even more fucking late than it would have been.”

Mr. Potter had always told Susanna that if she was getting bullied she should count backwards from ten, look at the sky, and ignore them. So that was exactly what she was doing. The thing was, she didn't know not to count out loud.. "5..4..3..2..1." Susanna - she hated being called Suze by them! - looked back at the crowd. They seemed to have dispersed, and most people were boarding the bus.
"After you." Susanna smiled up at Aaron. He was a nice person. Hard to confuse with his twin.. ugh. However, she was still looking up at the sky, and Peru accidentally tripped and brought them both down. "Eek!" Susanna cried as she fell into a pile of slush. Well, maybe 'eek' wasn't her exact word, but it was very close. "My cashmere sweater!" Even though her best friend apologized profusely, Susanna took a little more time standing up than necessary.
"Oh, it's okay, Peru." She said airily. If it had been practically anyone else, they would have no head right now. Anger management, though, Mr. Potts said, was crucial for good social skills. So Susanna just smiled as angelically as she could, and walked to the bus as if she wasn't covered in mush.

[/size] he spoke to Aaron in a surprisingly carrying voice, despite the unmistakable calmness in her tone. "Oh, shit. I guess you're right. Awww, I wanted to be the one with more luck!" she exclaimed in a sarcastic whine, which started to let up as she finished. "Damn! All I got was a brain!" It occured to her that she was still speaking rather quickly, and she couldn't help but wonder if Susanna (and she had intentionally spoken loudly so that she would be able to hear her speaking) would be able to understand her. She glanced at Bryce with a smirk that was expertly combined with just the right eye position so that it looked apologetic as well (Nikki was good at those fancy facial expressions), and she couldn't stop herself from finishing with a wink, as if they were the only people in the area who had been granted the chance to take part in the understanding of some secret joke.
As Peru went flying off the bus, she couldn't help but feel just a little guilty for scaring her so much. Still, she was kind of impressed with herself for being so intimidating; she was getting better at this. She hadn't understood what scared Peru about her so much from the beginning, but now it was just insane. Nikki was not normally very scary. Annoying, irritating, aggravating, self-satisfied, condescending, bitchy, yes. All of those things. But not scary. Or so she thought. Peru Thorpe was living proof that she had been wrong in all of her years thinking that she wasn't scary. So now, knowing that at least one person was actually intimidated by her, she was proud of herself.
"Hey, it's not my fault the chick with no sense of balance is insanely terrified of me!" she said in response to Lionel's remark. True as her statement may have been, it was her fault that she had chosen to take advantage of Peru's fear of her by trying to humiliate her. On the bright side Interestingly enough, it had worked- not in the way that she had intended it to. She looked out of the bus to make sure that she hadn't actually been injured, but refused to worry about it beyond that. It was an accident. Her conscience was clear. That was her story, anyways. She felt that this would not be an appropriate time to ask if she could play cards with them; not until the fallen persons were on the bus, anyways, so she waited.
