The sun had only started to set, so it was still perfectly safe to be wandering around Market street without a fellow friend, doing a little ‘window’ slash holiday shopping at the same time. The street lamps had only just started to turn on, along with all the window displays. The girl had decided to ditch her car, or well leave it back at the tea bar and go for a walk, take in some of the slightly polluted but still crisp air, and clear her mind just a little bit. Of course in the past 7 years that she lived in this little town, she had seen every inch, nook, and cranny of the place…But one of the things that Arabella absolutely loved about Jeopardy, was the way it looked around Christmas time.
It was such a pleasant contrast to the typically gloomy aura of the town. Every inch of it was dusted in a powder sugar like snow that crunched under her boots, and Christmas lights lined every street lamp. Every window on the little strip of street had a Christmas display of some sort, whether extremely eccentric or simple holiday lights. It looked like the city was made for Christmas, and frankly, Arabella enjoyed it—a lot.
She gave off a happy little sigh as she adjusted her white scarf around her neck and looked around contently. She was dressed for the early days of winter, she wore beige stylish jacket with a silver silk lining, it had the first few buttons undone. Underneath she wore a black turtle neck, that popped out against the beige. Of course her lower half was covered by a pair of darker jeans, that had been tucked into a pair of beige boots, not uggs, oh no, she had a personal vendetta against those, but a pair of knee high leather boots. Her typically pale cheeks had a nice redness to them, along with her nose—since it was rather nippy outside, but it was the nice kind of nippy. And of course, he bag matched her outfit, seeing how it was big, black, and slouchy and held all the she needed.
She sighed to herself and took a sip of her rapidly cooling tea, something that she had grabbed on her way home from work. Oh nothing was better than this—a nice walk down a local street, which had promising Christmas gifts, and with a cup of tea in hand. Sometimes such simple things really did make people happy, people like Arabella at least.

There was no significant reason for William to be strolling down Market Street, aside from the fact that he’d possessed an ounce of free time. Not really the biggest spender, his wallet stayed in place within the back pocket of his jeans with cash within; his arms and digits were free of personalized baggage and a light smirk toyed with the corners of his lips. Eyeing the various venders with little to know interest, the young man continued down the shopping district in hopes of finding something to help occupy and pass along the time. This had to be the first moment in a while that he’d acquired a moment to spare. Due to the rapid approach of finals, Rush had engulfed himself in hours of homework, accompanied by twice as much practice time for the big home game was coming along quickly.
Being the sociable fellow that he was, W. Rush had to escape the books and hit the streets. Even if he wasn’t to talk to any of his friends – or any for that matter – being around people was three times better than sitting home alone. The male made a mental note to start a study group for him and others who suffered from the same problems. Once this was stored away, he turned his attention back onto his surroundings, narrowly missing a close encounter with a Saks Fifth shopper. “My bad,” the weak apology lingered within the air as he witnessed the woman swish away without so much as paying him a moment of mind. A brief shrug braced his shoulders and Rush pushed this too, into the back of his mind.
Fingertips hidden with the pockets of his well worn, beige coat Willy laughed quietly to himself as he continued on, doubling his concentration on avoiding an collisions. Slipping through several groups, he found himself before a quaint coffee shop, longing for a quick sip; however he decided against it. One could never trust just any cup of coffee. Rush was into consistency when it came to his and was not open to buying from anywhere but the Tea Bar. Despite the misleading name of the joint, the Tea Bar served a variety of beverages and its gorgeous displays had even gotten him to try a few new things – which was a biggie when in accordance to Junior.
Shuffling along, Rush managed another three steps before he laid his hues upon familiar tresses. Call him crazy for recognizing the female’s hair cut, style and color, but years of sitting behind one in English could do this to just about any student. Falling into step beside her, without so much as averting his gaze from something straight ahead, Rush emitted a short cough before simply stating, “We match,” and gesturing to her boots and his coat. He was never one for making a big entrance or screaming another’s name and running down the block toward them, but Rush would always speak when another came within his vicinity.

Arabella had been tempted to go into the candle shop that was now a little way behind her, to get her mother something. Yes, her mother was one of those women who LOVED to decorate their homes with sceneted candles, that sometimes gave visitors, and Ara, a head ache. Of course, Ara had decided against it, after all Christmas was ways away, the shop would still be there, and everyone would probably flock to Wal-Mart anyway. So, she just kept on walking and waiting for anything interesting to catch her eye, after all she didn’t want her gift to be…regifted!
It wasn’t exactly everyday that said girl would be walking along the street, minding her own business---and then get snuck up on like she was. Oh the reaction was not pretty. As rush snuck up on her, she had been taking a sip of her Tea—while it wasn’t hot enough to burn her it did of course choke her slightly. Luckily, she hadn’t spilled any on her coat or better yet on Rush. Still she had managed to jump off to the side a little, which got her to choke, Of course the girl stopped since she did sort of start coughing, but once that passed she cleared her throat and put on a smile, as though nothing happened.
“You’ve got a great sense of style then.” The brunette said, obviously teasing. It wasn’t as if she was lieing, because the jacket that Rush wore was a very in season color and essential, but seeing how Rush was a guy, he probably didn’t even put any thought into his outfit. It was surprising to see the boy out, considering last she had checked, from all the homeroom and English class small talk, Rush had formed a study group and was barely ever out…Bella never had that problem—then again Bella’s life for a while revolved around nothing but school. “Got tired of all that Shakespeare didn’t you?” She teased once more, knowing full well that she only spent an hour studying Shakespeare, and during that hour she felt as though she was going to gauge her eyes out…And that was probably an understatement.

sucky post. -.-'
Crap! He hadn’t meant to scare her. Honestly, she was walking on one of the most crowded blocks in all of Jeopardy – though it wasn’t as much at the current moment in time. What reasoning would she have to suddenly become spooked?! Now… maybe if he would have clasp a hand over both her mouth hand eyes, then she could have had a reason to jump. However William was just a guy walking beside her who let a few words slip. Perhaps if he would have touched her; this would have been a different story. All the same, guilt stricken, Will muttered several apologies and double checked to make sure that Arabella hadn’t burned herself before he fell into step beside her once more.
“I know,” a brief moment of silence erupted as Rush just nodded his head, “ the thing is; I don’t even try.” Smirking, he readjusted the white scarf around his neck as they proceeded. Every so often he’d steal his gaze away from some point off into the distance and put a little focus into the faces that passed. At this point, the young man was so inconspicuously eyeing the little blonde that swished before him. He wasn’t the type for wondering eyes, but he was indeed a male and there was only so much that even Rush could do to keep a handle on himself.
Way to go Bella. Here the boy was, trying to acquire an escape from the Shakespeare nonsense and the first thing she does is utter the man’s name. He furrowed his brow and curled his digits within his pocket as he turned his focus onto the cracks along their path, “I swear, if I have to read another word of any of his plays, I’ll gauge my eyes out.” Okay, so it was a bit of a morbid reply, but she’d get the point – would she not? He was sick to his stomach and felt that learning such material should have been voluntary. Where would Shakespeare com to his air once out of school? Proposing to his future wife, maybe, but nowhere else, “What about you? The finals are coming up; shouldn’t you be getting ready?”.

its okay mine suck too :/
She had been rather jumpy lately, there were many reasons behind it—mainly because she had gotten into some ‘trouble’ a little while ago. Still even she had to admit, that was the stupidest reason for getting a little spooked, afterall it was Jeopardy Michigan and not Detroit, if anyone did clasped their hands over her eyes it wouldn’t have been a big deal. Never the less, Bella assured Rush that she was indeed fine and that it wasn’t his fault for her being so jumpy.
“and yet, you still manage to look cute.” She complimented with a slight chuckle. There it went, Bella was starting to get kinda flirty, but not that ‘throw yourself ontop the man’ kind of flirty, that wasn’t Bella’s style. “Really, whats your secret? I should try it!’ Somehow, it didn’t click in her mind as to why boys could just throw on whatever and look fine, while girls had to spend at least an hour at night and in the morning getting ready to look halfway presentable…Or at least she did. As they walked, Bella finished up her tea and had decided to throw the Styrofoam cup away by trying to make a 3 pointer, which of course, she made it in.
“Oh—you too, huh?” Cue the screams of horror, Arabella Jang hated Shakespears too…to the point of completely giving up on him. Now that was obviously saying something about the material—If Arabella Jang, out of all people, couldn’t get it—then who did. The brunette let out a little sniffle and buried her hands deeper into her jacket, since it was starting to get noticeably chillier. “Aah im not stressing about finals.” She said with a little shrug of her shoulders. “I’ve already gotten a bunch of my acceptance letters back, so im home free I guess.” She already knew where she was going for the first two years of her college education—so final’s weren’t that scary to her…
“Although—Im not too sure on the English final—I think you have to be like secret genius or something to pass that.”

There was no secret to his success. The answer was simple and absolutely obvious if you asked him. All one had to do was be born as William Washington Rush jr and they’d have it all. At the thought, Rush’s smirk grew and he simply shoved both of his hands back into his pockets. He’d never emit such aloud unless with Nicole, for generally he feared giving off the wrong impression – Redmond was the only one who knew him in and out. Besides, what kind of male wanted to come off as a jerk – or rather, an egotistic asshole – in front of some chick they hardly knew? Two names popped into his head, however, he just shook it and parted his lips to speak, “From what I see; you don’t need any tips.” And that was his simple answer. He hadn’t spoken in attempts at flattering her; just the second thing that had popped into his head.
Rushy watched intently as the small cup flew before his eyes straight into the top of the waste bin. His palms would have collided with applause, but he felt that his facial expression gave away his impression and his hands were freezing. “Are you on the girl’s basketball team?” He could picture her on the court for the most part; dribbling like a maniac and shooting threes as if it came was naturally as breathing. Actually along with the vivid image, William made a mental note to attend the next game. Wasn’t as if he’d have anything better to do – his life seemed to be getting dull, living on a steady rotation wasn’t exactly enjoyable.
“Honestly, I don’t think that it’s the Shakespeare so much as the senioritis. It’s my last year and I want to enjoy it – y’ know? Not just sit around reading poetry or calculating my finale average or anything of the sort,” he finished with a slight huff. It was evident that Junior was happy to get this off of his chest. “Then again, Christmas is coming. I couldn’t just be excited about the holidays,” a shrug braced the young man’s shoulders. Silence wafted through their immediate air as he turned his attention straight forward once more; a young girl was coming straight at him. At the idea of acceptance letters, Rush cued an eyebrow. “Really?” Well, he knew that Bella was a great student and everything, but – “from where? And what school did you apply to?”
Chuckling at the idea of even failing the English final, W Rush cast a sideways gaze her way, “You’ve always helped me with history and such and seeing as to how I’m a secret genius or something, perhaps I could be of assistance?” his tone took on a playful melody as a slight bounce meandered into his step.
